The very first European peregrine chick hatched early this morning at the Oudenaarde nest in Belgium.

Once again this year Eva and Han have raised four well fed, well cared for chicks. It will not be long until they fledge.

Also this year, one of Eva and Han's offspring from 2015 turned up with her own nest and her own mate. She has been incubating eggs at the Kortrijk nest site, which also has a webcam.

She is banded S2, which brings back memories of another, very famous S2.
