Ah, but he had two of the best, rcf.  A hundred fledge-watchers couldn't have prevented this sad event.  TPC has been concerned about this site since Jules chose it to lay the eggs, obviously with good reason, as the sad results of this nest have shown.

Next year, let's hope that these lovebirds make better choices :)

It's really too bad little Polo didn't have a whole bunch of fledge watchers like the Radisson kids had.  :(

Dennis what an amazing photo of Polo.  It had to be heartbreaking for you and TPC.  It is very understandable that it will be hard for you to go through the photo's of Polo.
He was a beautiful guy.  Thank you for the amazing shots.

Sad news this morning ....
Polo fledged last night just before we lost the light to the cameras.  He ended up on the Viscount Gort which is where we found him this morning.  He was on the lowest roof and Dennis and I were discussing what would be his best (aka safest) routes off the roof...
I can only imagine what it was like to be there and be helpless to help instantly.  Sad for both of you.  {}

Such sad news.  This nest site had much energy and effort expended to get our little Polo to fledging.
It must have been hard for you both, TPC and Dennis, to watch this accident as it unfolded.

Another heartbreaking end for one of our little feathered friends.  :'( Hope Polo and Fyfe are flying high together and that Polo's parents come back next year to try again.

 :( So hard to believe that yet another falcon has perished. Polo was such a beautiful bird as the photo Dennis has captured will attest. For all of us, it feels as though we have lost a child. Beau and Jules tried so very hard to protect our solo Polo, but kids have a mind of their own and Polo felt it was time for him to become adventurous. So very sad....... :'( :'( :'(

Such a beautiful picture, Dennis -- hard to believe this is the same little guy in the banding photos!
