Do you think Hurricane might be thinking about next year? Some advanced planning?

I saw Hurricane, Brooklyn and Rain today.

First time I have seen Hurricane in the nest box since the kids were banded on  June 27th.

I saw Hurricane and one of the boys this morning before 7am.  I am not sure which kid it was because it's way too dark at that time of the morning to tell them apart, but he was kakking loudly at mom........probably thought she should get breakfast for him.  ::)  :)

I saw Mom, Dad and the kids at 6:45 this morning. One kid flew in yakking loudly with his breakfast and landed on the four story walkway between the two McKenzie buildings. A minute later the other kid flew off to the west, maybe to look for his own breakfast.  :)

Migration has started down south, so keep an eye open, particularly in Brandon as the Pembina Valley corridor is a major raptor migration route - some of our Brandon kids in Saskatchewan could be passing through and who knows, maybe even Radisson from Edmonton!
That would, indeed, be very exciting to see Radisson from Edmonton. 8)

If we don't get too many posts, I'll keep this thread open until the end of the year ...

Great picture especially the rose blush on the white chest. I think TPC commented on this before but I never noticed it so distinctly.

Its much darker than it has been on other Manitoba birds - Trey's was a pale pale pink, never got this dark or solid - every bird just has to be different  ;)

I was very happy to see both Rain and Rosser together this morning, they were fighting over breakfast on the McKenzie roof.........silly boys!   Hurricane was on the Scotia sign and Brooklyn was on the east light of clock tower, so the whole family was together.
Oh yea, we all know about silly boys.      lol
Thanks for the update RCF and the pictures are outstanding.
