As TPC would say, "Yippee skippee!" That is such exciting news - a PF spotted in downtown Winnipeg on March 13th! ;D Great spotting, Mother Hen and great photo, Pam! Is this one of the earliest dates for a return, TPC? :-\ I have to be in the downtown area for an appt. tomorrow. Will definitely take my binocs and my camera!

HURRAY!!!!   :-*Thanks to all that were involved in spotting one of our fine feathered friends.  Now we know for sure that spring is here.  I know that I'll be heading downtown more than usual.  I have had my binoculars in the car all winter, just waiting for this to happen.  Now I can put them to good use.  As the saying goes "Happy days are here again....".  I am sooooooo excited!

Given that s/he is looking into the light so the breast may not be quite as big as I think it is, I think Pam and BirdNut may be right and this is indeed Ivy.  Particularly since that is one of "his" spots.

Having said that, the bird looks like Trey and Cowboy (they were cousins) as well, so hopefully we can get access to the cameras soon and the bird will cooperate and we can get the Name Game underway!

I repeat, way to go Mother Hen, BirdNut and Pam!!
