A warm sunny day Saturday found Beau perched on the railing at the Bleachers in the pm....he was also spotted earlier in the morning at the Diner glowing in the bright sun...and yes photos from the day will be sent out and loaded.

I am assuming the eggs were laid in the bad spot and not in one of the boxes provided?

Yup, 'fraid so.  However, she is in a tuppernest so that should help reduce egg loss and early chick mortality...
Great about the 4 eggs but really too bad about the location. :(

There must be something Jules likes at that site for her to lay eggs the second year in a row.  ::)

We were able to confirm as of this morning that she is on 4 eggs (thank you Dennis & Eye-Spy).  Best estimate on hatch will be last week in May.  We hope to be able to improve the camera angles in the next couple of weeks, at the moment she is quite a distance away from one camera and out of the frame on the other.  With better angles we should actually be able to see the hatching this year.

Update on Jules and Beau ... yes, looks like they were a bit faster than Hurricane and Brooklyn and have already begun incubating eggs.  We don't know how many yet, but we hope to soon.

TPC, do you know where they chose to nest? Not asking where it is, just wondering if you're satisfied with this year's choice!

Until I see the eggs I can't be sure, but I suspect they have nested in the evil spot.

Last night took a drive around the WW area. Only saw one bird, but he/she kept us hopping by switching between the diner and the bleachers several times. Nice to see the soaring though.

That's all I wanted to know, TPC -- and I'm sorry they seem to have chosen the evil spot -- but just goes to show that being overly obsessive isn't a bad thing!  ::)

Until I see the eggs I can't be sure, but I suspect they have nested in the evil spot.  Fortunately, I left some help in the evil spot in case I had difficulty accessing the location.  Thought I was being overly obsessive but seems to have been the right decision.

Hope that helps, Saoirse  :)
