I don't know about that gemcitygemini.  Birdy spotted on the west nest box at 2:30 this afternoon. Possibly Ivy, although I'm not positive about that. It could also be an interloper! He/She seemed quite comfortable there - remained the whole time I was wandering downtown (about half an hour at least).

Spotted a peregrine falcon on the east nest ledge when driving through the downtown area toward west Winnipeg just past 10:00 AM today. :D

funny how I always think of the peregrines when a  bad stormy hits etc. I gues becasue we have seen how vulnerable they are.

I read about the blast. thank goodness it was not too serious

There have been no further updates so looks like it was just an accident, perhaps something like a steam line blowing out during maintenance or repairs.  Enough force there to break glass.  No danger to the peregrines.

Just had some rumbles of thunder as well ... sounds like the storm that hammered western Manitoba earlier today may be about to visit Winnipeg ...
