Nice pictures RCF. I love the shots when all you can see is the head and perhaps an eye or two of the chicks.

Hurricane preparing the snack....looked like a starling to me.

Checked a weather station in Brandon and the weather looks a lot better there right now, no rain and 15C.
Winds are from the north so the chicks are a wee bit breezy but I'm sure Hurricane or Brooklyn is keeping them company.

The turkey vulture and eagle weren't that close to the nest just in the falcons territory. Hurricane and Brooklyn have chicks and probably any large bird flying above the McKenzie building is fair game to chase and warn off.  ;)

Yikes! :o First an eagle, next a turkey vulture! Those 2 are sure getting a work out defending their nest!

Hurricane chased off a turkey vulture this afternoon....didn't get any pics of that though.   :D   Just after that Brooklyn showed up with an afternoon snack and I watched a mid air food transfer between the two, Hurricane took it and fed the kids. Pretty soon the chicks will be big enough to poke their little heads up for us to see from the parkade or the parking lot east of the building, hopefully I will get some photos.  ;D  :-*

Got a report from the NRO today ... still just 3 chicks so unlikely after 7 days that the last egg will hatch.  They will check again later this week just in case though.
