Peeking Pip??

Pip (if it’s him) probably spotted something he found very interesting on the other side of that window he likes to visit. He reminds me of Smiley who was also seen peeking through windows! :) Smiley seemed particularly interested in visiting a cat named Bijoux and those visits began even before he and Princess became a pair.

Hope we’ll learn more about “Peeking Pip??” ;D

Really glad we got to see some of our Princess and her young beau this season - but disappointed they didn't do the 'family' thing this year.  :-\ - Princess may be done with all that business now,  and though I sure hope to see her again, it seems like the best nest site in town is going to waste - wonder if someone else will take it over. (Not 'til she stops coming to town I'm guessing)  :P

How old is Princess now, TPC? And when do Peregrines stop procreating?  I'm sure you have answered this many times but I don't know how to go back and find out.

Peregrines stop producing eggs when they do - no set age limit.  There are older birds that have produced viable eggs and younger birds that have stopped producing all together.

Princess was hatched in Minneapolis in 2002, so as of this year, she is 16 years old.  Last year she produced 3 healthy chicks with seemingly little difficulty, but she doesn't really confide in me so we will have to see if she returns in the future or decides to take a leisurely retirement out of the reach of amorous young peregrines and their desire to procreate.  ;)

I think that is Princess relaxing on the edge of the nestbox. She’s been there about 20 minutes, but possibly much longer - nice to see her again.

Princess was enjoying the shade on the northwest corner of the nestbox this morning. I spotted her about 11:50 am, but I think she had been sitting there awhile. She left at 12:26 am.

It is a change to see the nestbox so clean at this time of year.
