A Fourth Egg & the Last of the Snow
Today is sunny and warm and both Princess and Trey are much more active, dare I say, giddy, when they aren't on incubation duty. At 9am this morning there was still a fair sized patch of snow at the nest end of the legde. By 10:30am the patch was down to one last corner and by 12noon, all the snow has gone and all that is left is a damp patch that is drying fast. Oh, and a fourth egg.

Spotted it during a shift change. So once again we have a full house on the Radisson. From what I can see all the eggs look fine as do both Princess and Trey. I have a ton of photos that I will be posting this evening - preening, napping, even got half-decent photos of their band numbers. The weather is suppose to be sunny and warmer so Princess and Trey should have a more comfortable time of it this week. For those of you wanting an estimated hatch date, best I can give you is the week after the Victoria Day Weekend (that's after May 19th). Last year, the eggs hatched out at 30-31 days as I recall which is a little longer than usual for our birds but everyone will have plenty of time to watch and wait when the Falcon Cam goes live on May 15th. And yes, that is still our timeline despite having to implement Cam Plan B, so no need to worry (yet).
