Donated Photos & Family Trees
Princess and Trey are fine, enjoying the first day of real sunlight Winnipeg has had since Tuesday last week. Their main task for today has been napping as the snow around them slowly begins to melt. With luck it will all be gone by early next week.
We have two new photographers sending us photos of our peregrines. Introductions first - at the Radisson, we have Pam who works across the street from the Hotel and who has been snapping photos of Princess and Trey on the ledge and on some of the nearby buildings with a camera with a nice, hefty zoom lens. I've posted the first batch already - Princess on Portage. I will post more from last week in the next couple of days. Our second photographer is Rod, who is one of our West Winnipeg spotters and who managed to get some great flight shots of the female (by the size) as she buzzed his location near last year's nestsite - On the Wing. Thank you again for sharing your photos with us and I urge everyone to check out them out! And no, I'm not going to give you all a sample, you will just have to check them all out in the Photo Gallery!
Dennis too has been snapping photos at the Radisson which I shall be adding to our galleries this week. Dennis doesn't just focus on the peregrines, far from it. He has a magnificent collection of bird photos - birds both very big and very small - as well as portraits, candids and landscapes. It is well worth visiting his galleries at Photos by Dennis. I confess to spending more than my fair share of time drooling over his photos!
And finally, I have started to add the family trees to the Project Website. As of today, I have the Radisson familty tree and the one for Trey and Princess that lists all their offspring by name. I will be adding Brandon's next, then T2's in Grand Forks and Alley in Lincoln, Nebraska. After that some of our past breeding pairs, like Maud and Pop's (our original Radisson pair) and Madame's who had four different mates at the Radisson. The family trees are on the Project Website under, you guessed it, Family Trees.
