Presentation
I don't often make presentations, in part because of the time (I have to take time off to do them), in part because the peregrine nesting season is right at the end of the academic year and most of my requests are from schools. Occasionally I get to speak with/to other groups. About the time Princess and Trey returned, I was invited by Creative Retirement Manitoba to come and speak on the peregrines and the webcam to some of their members. Today was the day and we had a blast! Great bunch of folks, informed, involved and a pleasure for me as the speaker. We also had Jacquie and Darlene from the Assiniboine Park Zoo come by with one of the Zoo's new education ambassadors, an American Kestrel named Jimmy. Jimmy is just a year-old and is still getting used to his ambassadorial duties, so he came with a buddy, a lorikeet from Australia named Kiwi. It was great having Jimmy & Kiwi as part of the presentation, and it was nice to be able to provide them with the opportunity to get used to be in front of a crowd of people. So thank you to all the folks that attended, to CRM for inviting me and to Jacquie and Darlene for bringing Jimmy and Kiwi!
