Dennis Has a Feeling ....

Was speaking with Dennis (our official photographer) today and he "has a feeling" that the peregrines will be back this weekend. I think its a bit early, but Dennis has been chasing owls to photograph this winter and has acquired a bit of a reputation for being in the right place at the right time to find them. In fact, a few of our local birders will make a bee-line for Dennis if they spot his vehicle on a lonely country road because its an an almost guarantee of some great viewing of Snowy Owls and Northern Hawk Owls in particular this winter. So, just in case Dennis is right, I've been checking out the spycam more often than usual today, and will do the same again tomorrow. In any case, below is our first look at the spot on the Hotel the birds usually return to first in the spring ... and as you can see, so far, no one is home ... yet ...
