Maybe 'Maybe Princess' is waiting for Smiley - or Ivy, wouldn't it be fun if he came back!  ;D

Its been pretty much the same - female we think is Princess (bird has never wanted to share her band numbers on the webcam) and only male visiting is Hart and maybe-Princess hasn't shown much interest.

Was on the road yesterday so haven't checked the recorder but if/when someone new turns up at the Radisson or West Winnipeg, I will be sure to post!

No more news for the past few days. - Either TPC is busy or there aren't any more new ID's or arrivals.  :-\

Have been thinking of Princess for days. Hope she is home again.

Every year, it seems a miracle that our birds migrate such distances, survive the winter and return home.

Nature is not for sissies.

Thanks Tracey for all the updates.

WOW - If it IS Princess, and the nest was given up to her without a fight- She must really be known by the Peregrine community as the 'Queen' of the Radisson!!  :D - That's incredible!! (Hope it is Princess!)  :-*

This is a cross-board post that I will post on all three Wpg boards ...

We definitely have females at all three Winnipeg nestsites.  I was able to confirm that at the same time, Joli was at Logan, Faith was at West Winnipeg and a male (Hart confirmed) and "the female we suspect may be Princess" were at the Radisson.

Hopefully with the south winds yesterday some additional males will turn up as it appears that Hart is trying to do "husbandly" duties himeself - have seen him bowing and displaying with Joli and Princess in the last day and I'm pretty sure Faith was yakking at him from her nestbox not an hour ago.  Not sure Princess wasn't giving him a lecture this morning but Joli was definitely willing to succumb to his worldly wiles and Faith I think is just so darn eager to get going on things that she's not being particularly discriminating ...  ;D

A little off topic, but it is still from the Radisson

Earth Hour 2017 looked like this

looking west from the Radisson                                               looking down at the east-side Radisson sign "off"
(and yes, that is the Manitoba Hydro sign lit up which is
kind of ironic - rest of their building is totally dark though!)

I have to confess that I'm shedding a few tears at reading your post, TPC!  Every year that she returns feels like such a gift!

I know, I know..not a positive ID yet, but...but... ;D

Ooooooh!  Thank you for that long post, TPC.

I hope it is, I hope it is, I hope it is, Princess!

Maybe we can breathe more easily after all, if three females have settled for three different sites, with only one (that we know of) territorial battle.
