Updates

May 11 - The 2026 Rogers Tv FalonCam goes live. Eggs should hatch the last week/10 days in May.
Apri 26 - Just after midnight, the fourth & last egg was laid. We are 10 days earlier than last year.
Apri 23 - Third egg laid.
Apri 21 - Second egg laid.
Apr 19 - Thank you Mother Nature - first egg laid in the nestbox.
Apr 17 - Ella & Pandemic have been spending 85-90% of their time renovating the east side nestledge. Last time that happened, Ella & Pip lost the Radisson to Hazel & Pandemic and lost all their eggs. They did renest but only one chick survived. Today we have snow & a forecast for nasty wet & icy conditions - we hope this will prompt them to quickly change their minds about the ledge in favour of the nestbox.
Apr 1 - Equinox only had a couple of days to employ her feminine wiles on Pandemic before Ella the Terrible arrived home and promptly evicted her - bloodlessly it seems which is nice, would like to see Equinox hang around & find a mate of her own.
Mar 23 - New lady in town, unbanded and very beautiful. She arrived on the 21st so I'm calling her Equinox. Pandemic is interested - too early to say if she will be this year's Radisson female though.
Mar 8 - Pandemic is home earlier than usual!

Mom is Ella who hatched in Brandon in 2015, yup, she's 11 years old this year. Her father was Brooklyn from Brandon, son of Screech and Holly. Her mother was Hurricane one of Princess' and Trey's daughter from here at the Radisson. Ella took over as the resident female at the Radisson with Pip in 2020. Before that, she was the resident female at the West Winnipeg nestsite with Ty a male from the Radisson. She has raised 12 chicks so far, four with her first mate Ty and eight with her second mate Pip. This is her second year nesting with Pandemic. Six of her chicks were female, seven were male.

Her grandparents include:
Trey - T-Rex (first wild chick hatched after the Project began) and Madame a captive-bred female hack-released in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Princess - Lightning who hatched from Sherco and Marie from Monticello, both in Minnesota.
Screech - Mufasa a captive-bred bird hack-released in Brandon and Phoebe, a sister of T-Rex, from the Radisson.
Holly - Dakota Ace a captive-bred bird, hack released in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and Frieda who hatched in Alma, Wisconsin.

Dad is Pandemic, a 2020 wild-hatched peregrine from North Dakota. His father is Annie, son of Beau and Jules from West Winnipeg. His mother is Fleming, another West Winnipeg chick, daughter of Ty and Faith. Last year was his second year nesting (he had 1 female chick with Hazel in 2024) and his second year nesting with Ella - they had one chick last year, a female named Bella.

His grandparents include:
Beau and Jules , were both captive-bred and released near Winnipeg. They were our first West Winnipeg pair.
Ty - another Radisson male, brother of Hurricane, son of Princess and Trey, grandson of T-Rex and Madame.
Faith - hatched in Duluth, Minnesota. Her father was unbanded but her mother hatched at Mount McRae near Thunder Bay, Ontario.
