Project Store

The Peregrine Falcon Recovery Project (Manitoba) is dependent upon financial support from the public to continue its recovery efforts to re-establish a self-sustaining population of wild peregrines falcons in the province. To that end, the Project has chosen to offer a small variety merchandise to its supporters. We try to choose items that are appealing, well-made and reasonably priced. We don't mark-up our items like retail outlets, rather we set our prices so that folks can afford them and we can cover our costs to continue offering merchandise for sale.

2016 Special Edition Teeshirts

2016 was a good year for Manitoba's peregrines overall even though we had a couple of hiccups. First Beatrix our resident female in West Winnipeg ran afoul of a hailstorm in Texas and needed to be rehabilitated first in the US for much of the year before being transported back to Winnipeg to finish her recovery. The second was a couple of nests that should have had chicks didn't even though the resident birds seemed to do everything right. In the end we had seven known nestsites with resident pairs and one mystery nestsite which produced a total of 12 chicks - eight males and four females. We also had a record number of Princess' offspring identified this year - 14 birds across Canada and the USA - a nice treat for our fourteen-year-old Princess. For that reason, Princess in flight is this year's design with a quote from Michel de Montaigne - "Let us permit nature to have her way. She understands her business better than we do." Princess knows her business and has been doing it longer than any of our other resident birds in Manitoba and we are happy to let her do what she does best. The image is in full-colour and on the reverse of the shirt is the "tag" that lists this year's nesting adults and their offspring along with the year. The shirt is available on a variety of shirt colours and in long-sleeve and short-sleeve styles.
